Dancing Classrooms event last weekend at the Scottsdale Street Fair

Phoenix Comicon Invades Scottsdale!

Scottsdale Street Fair on Corys Corner

There were hula hoops, bounce houses, puppies, popcorn, and MAGIC on Corys Corner this morning on Fox 10! Circus Vargas, a world-famous act, will be joining us at the fair this weekend, and we gave the viewers at home a little sneak peak! We could not think of a more exciting show to bring out as we roll out our new hours, Saturday 11-5 and Sunday 11-4. You can view the videos online here and here.

Miss Arizona USA presents Paws for a Cause at the Scottsdale Street Fair

Thank you to our friends at Channel 3 for a great segment this morning featuring an interview with Erika Frantzve, Miss Arizona USA 2012. Erika, and her charity Everyday Heroes Like You, are presenting Paws for a Cause at the Scottsdale Street Fair coming up this Sunday. This community dog walk will bring together pet lovers and animal rescues, specialty vendors, and small businesses.

Your Money at the Scottsdale Street Fair

We were featured on the front page of the Your Money section of the Arizona Republic, check it out! It is very true that your money is well spent at the Scottsdale Street Fair. Small businesses have had great success at the fair by being able to network with new customers in a non-sales environment. Artists and crafters have been able to share their creations, and even get comissioned work from visitors at the fair! We are gearing up for the Spring 2012 season now, and we encourage you to join us. It is Your Money, well spent!

Scottsdale Street Fair hosts community blood drive

We met 100 percent of our donor goal at the United Blood Services drive today! Thank you to all who came out and donated! This is a picture of Keith (the owner) donating blood for the first time! I also donated for the first time today, and ended up taking a little nap in the Bloodmobile watching a BugsLife! Remember there are always people in need. Be a hero and donate next year with us!

We were listed as one of the top things to do in Scottsdale this weekend! Jungalbook performed by Arizona Family Theater, a nonprofit dedicated to creative family bonding and community building through theater.

AZ Rattlers join the Scottsdale Street Fair

Stryker D. Mascot struck us all by surprise at the Scottsdale Street Fair last Sunday, what a snake! Arena Bowl champs Virgil Gray and Da’mon Merkerson were also there to take pictures with the kids and sign autographs for fans. The beautiful Sidewinder Dancers spent the day enjoying the fair activities and meeting fans. Surely they were an inspiration for the Teen Baton Twirlers from the AZ Baton Boosters Association that were providing entertainment at the fair. Grand Opening promo in AZ Republic

What a pleasure it was working with Kevin Downey of the Arizona Republic! Check out the article he wrote about us HERE. Starbright Foundation teen talent auditions

Scottsdale Street Fair hosted Teen Talent Auditions on Sunday April 15. The children and teens were auditioning for a space in the upcoming 2nd Annual Teen-Fest in July to benefit Starbright Foundation, a community partner of the Scottsdale Street Fair. There are so many talented kids right here in the valley! Check out the video of Maddy, Payton, and Jessica performing and see more great kids like them at the next auditions in April 2013!
The mission of the Starbright Foundation is to provide funding and direction for existing services of the community and establish new outreaches to rescue children and young adults from sex trafficking and other dangerous and abusive environments, build safe houses, and provide counseling.

Channel 3 interview with Starbright Foundation

Channel 3 did an interview with Shari and representatives from the Starbright Foundation about the upcoming teen talent auditions at the Scottsdale Street Fair. It was a fun day at the studio, and the teens who performed were so thankful for the opportunity!

Brittney Shipp visits the Scottsdale Street Fair

Brittney Shipp, of the Channel 3 Forecasters, visited the Scottsdale Street Fair at the Pavilions at Talking Stick. Brittney fully embraced the spirit of the street fair, and cheerfully bounced around on Kangoo shoes, indulged in a delicious homemade cupcake, and sampled potato tacos from a local food truck's kitchen! Sonoran Living with Andi Barness

What does a fair mean to you? In her interview with Andi Barness of Sonoran Living, Shari says, A fair is where everyone has a bit of fun in their own way, whether you are 60 yrs old or 5 yrs old. And good eats!

We were able to showcase products from some of our amazing vendors and share pictures of the fair activities. Lemo, the headline performer for the Spring 2012 season, was able to get some TV time as well! Watch and share the video!
